Paying close attention, learning new and innovative ways to improve the functionality and profitability of the business has been a hallmark of his career in jewelry since 1982.

He serves as president of the Vermont Guild of the AGS and the Vermont Chapter of the GIA Alumni Association. He is a Graduate Gemologist and earned the title of Certified Gemologist Appraiser in 2000. He was recently awarded the prestigious Sallie Morton Award for service to the AGS Guilds for 2019.

His consultancy supports retail jewelers with strategy, culture and leadership. Phillip is uniquely qualified to assist retail jewelers increase profit through more and larger sales, happier an better teams and better ROI.

Phillip offers on-site analysis and recommendations to immediately improve profitability as well as remote support, training seminars and executive coaching. When he isn’t helping jewelers he might be found hiking, sweating at CrossFit, volunteering, cutting firewood or enjoying Vermont’s restaurants with Heather.
